Apollo’s Fire sets the stage for its upcoming performances of Handel’s Israel in Egypt with a celebration of Jewish and Arabic folk music and cultural traditions—as well as a few highlights from Handel’s masterpiece. Soprano Amanda Powell is joined by a colorful ensemble of medieval harp, shawm, flute, violin, cello, and harpsichord.

Q&A discussion with the musicians follows the 45-minute performance.
